I don't know if it is just me but I find that when ever I restart hfs(because I turn my computer off when I sleep) I have to reselect my ddns name from the ip address menu because it defaults back to my external ip. Shouldn't hfs remember this setting in the ini?

It's a good point, i guess rejetto just made it default to external IP instead of DNS.

ensure you have not enabled "find external address on startup".

anyway, if that's not the case, i maybe fixed the problem in next build. ;)

thanks, I had find external address on startup ticked :P

But shouldnt hfs remember the selection you made in the ip adress sub menu regardless if it finds the external ip on start up or not.

No, that option is pointless when you use the dyndns.
Better i would warn the user to disable it.

Ok, i introduced this message when you enable the dynamic dns updater

This option makes pointless the option "Find external address at startup",
which has now been disabled for your convenience.

Opinions?

Sure, that will do :P

But does the dynamic dns still update automatically because it isnt finding the external ip.

yes, for it to work, it needs to check your external IP every minute, not just at startup.
