Post by: tosha on September 03, 2007, 03:29:44 PM
it would be desirable to utillize information, written down in address2name for the use in html-template (if ip remains for every user permanent)?  ???

ALot of people have dynamic IP's, so this wont work... Also, if one ip changes to a address2name, they will get access. I think we need to wait for reverse DNS for this to be more effective.

Yay... find a way around the dynamic IP users? or will they just have to reassign their account to an IP when they log in, ino my dynamic IP stays until my router/modem reboots which is about once/month.

the users have no way to "reassign"

address2name is not necessarily to be used to identify specific users, you could just identify subnets/groups, because it supports wildcards
