Home File Server for Windows Home Server

Has anybody tried HFS on Windows Home Server? I hear it is a chopped down version of Win2003.

Hfs works perfectly under Windows Server 2003; here is someone who used it for a while on a dedicated R3 server

great idea... hear it works great!! tho only thing.... any drive that is connected to the server be it at setup or connected later is formatted.  =((((  i understand why... but it just adds to the possibility of your stuff getting formatted!  nothing worse than losing those 120 gigs o mp3s and .avi's because you failed to read the SUPER fine print!!!

HFS is the best for file access!
The only reason for Win Home server is the backing up of all the home PC's everynite.

As for Mircosoft, here we go again, backups of backups. How am I going to backup 2.5 TB of data when it's full?
 
Win Home Server was suppost to be the fix for storage. Maybe with a SP1 or 2.

P.S. I read that fine print, right before I transferred 14 years worth of stuff.
That would have put me over the edge...

my backup system is a USB hard disk, and a batch file with xcopy

note: xcopy can do incremental copies
