when anybody visits my hfs site i wanna know who is it...
i copy his ip, then go to http://www.chatter.ru/whois.php (http://www.chatter.ru/whois.php) & paste this ip into the form...
but that all takes a long time...
rejetto, can u make built-in WHOIS in hfs? :)
as example:
it wanna be cool if i can select IP & press right mouse button & select "WhoIs" option & then it opens a modal dialog which show me whois information. ;D
-
+1 for whois ;D
Having a built in whois would be an allot better idea then having address to name in the log.

... !!! ... please give me some of Ur free time ;D Tcube

reverse dns , which is what you are talking about, is in the to-do list.
also an option would be cool to find out more for the ip, just a link that fires the ip through the arin whois search would do the trick.
-
well, the reverse dns is in doubt because doing it for every IP is a problem.
doing it on request is not a problem.

i wanna know country or state, city & name of company or more, that uses that ip.
2TCube: what do u mean?

Dear comrade,
I think you should think again about your needs for a Whois with every conection. 'Normal' private users have a IP that belongs to a service provider, an not even the information of the country where the conection comes must be true. For example, owner of the IP may be a company in Amsterdam, and the user sits in Spain! If you want to know if the conection comes from a government or security institution, donĀ“t believe that they use IP's in the gov's range!
So in every case, the information you can get will really be almost useless!
-
thx, i know that.
