chrno,

You were very professional in the presentation of your "Live 2" in this thread.  Good Job!  I'll have to take a look at your new template.  :)

Thanks.

I've taken a quick look at it and there are some things to point out:

You are using Photobucket to store all your images.. why? Isn't that part of having a file server? so that you have to host your own template 'resources'? The main reason i want a file server of my own, is that i want to be independant from other services. But if i want to use your template, i still have to worry if Photobucket doesnt notice the 1000+ users that will continue download images from their website, resulting in  file deletion so that my website will soon be text-only >_<

Another thing that got my attention.. You are importing everything to javascript, javascript examines the extension and then outputs the right content.. Surely, this won't run good with 100+ files on a slow machine (havent tested, blame me if it does run good ^^). Why dont you simply make use of the [file.ext], it uses less bandwith, less code and most important: almost no CPU on the client side.

Anyway, i hope you will use this information for the good, cause the Live template really is a very nice, well designed template :) You should be proud of it

The template is damn great!
However, I have to agree with Giant Eagle for the method of storing the images...
Some people have slow connections with Photobucket...like me :'(

Title: Re: HFS Live 2
Post by: TSG on April 16, 2007, 08:41:59 AM
Looks nice as usual, but why do you use javascript to differentiate between file types when u can just use the 'new', i quote cause its been around for a few builds now, [file.ext = file.ext etc...] feature that i got rejetto to add??? and i also agree with Giant Eagle that hosting your images on photobucket will not go down well when they delete your files rofl

Also i have to say, you present your templates very well on the forum. I just don't have the time to post up the ToG like that! its very impressive :D I'm too busy making stuff for my university projects.

Do you want me to update the HFS live download info in Share Templates (http://www.rejetto.com/forum/index.php?topic=1750.0)?? If so just send me the data u need me to input, i'll also update my database with your templates.

Traxxus, he probably exported with a build before 86... i had this problem aswell. If not, its something else, just copy/paste from notepad.
Title: External servers
Post by: chrno on April 16, 2007, 02:00:44 PM
I used an external server (for the photos) for many reasons: the first one is to not use you own server bandwidth, I thought closely in low- bandwidth users and every kilo for them is usefull so they should don't carry about wasting bandwitdh with just some "nice" images. The second reason is related with the cache, for some reason when using images in the img folder (using HFS) the photos always reloads when jumping from page to page, this is really annoying and wastes bandwidth. The third reason is to speed-up the first load. Insted of waiting just for one server to send all the data, two servers simultaneously sends all the data in the half of time. The fourth reason is to make Live easier to install, instead of adding special folders and hidding them, is annoying when HFS restarts and you forgot to save your folders, the result is predictible.

So those was the four reasons why Live uses externals servers to the IMAGES, CSS AND JS. I choose photobucket and geocities because were free and fast alternatives, remember this is a free project so i can't pay for a server for you guys.

Stevens! where can i see the 'new' file.ext . I've not to much time to browse through the forum and see all the HFS Changes.

For all those who have slow connections with photobucket, chillout, wait until the first load is complete and that's all Live doesn't need to load the images again (unless you press reload or refresh)

3gon,
I'm going to send you the images in the night but i need access to the server to moddify them if something happends. Anyway, before release an update to live i want to try Live Ultima with the new server, if works fine Live should work in your server.
Ok, talk in mess.

Superb work tho, looks lovely!!

Stevens! where can i see the 'new' file.ext . I've not to much time to browse through the forum and see all the HFS Changes.

I updated the Template Vars and Section Help sticky post ages ago, along with the actual HFS Template Help inside HFS, i'll put in %protected% and [protected] into the help post once its released stable. You could just download the current version of my template and take a look at how it works, Terayon has it a too.

I thought i would post up an example.

For image files, if we want it to be different, it now can have its own section. The single file version of this has been around for a while, think it was ledufe that suggested that one.... But i got rejetto to add in multiple sections so you can now bunch up as many as you like into a single section. Like below.

[file.jpg = file.bmp = file.png]
<!-- CONTENT WOOOO -->

[file.swf]
<!-- YAAAY -->

[file] will still of course be a default for all files unless specified with different sections.

Wow, Chrno
Long time no see. Thank you for HFS Live and your hard work.

Hmm. the new HFS Live 2 is great, However my HFS page is very slow because it needs to load those images externally.
My country is having very bad external internet access, could you please make another HFS Live 2 version that stores all the images internally? My users can't afford loading the images from external site other than the local site so it's better to have them dowload images directly from my place.

Thank you ^^

sokoolz! thanks, yeah, some people had problems with photobucket (slows connections), I'm working on it. About the internal images version, i don't know... i don't want to n_n because it uses more of tyhe server cpu, more bandwidth... mmm.... lets try the new server first,ok?
Title: Re: HFS Live 2
Post by: SoKoOLz on April 17, 2007, 06:23:03 PM
Yeah, perhaps you are right. I've tried modifying your theme by downloading all the images, css and js scripts into my server.
And everytime I go to another page the server connection shows 15-20 connections a time. So I guess this new hfslive uses a lot of images.
I'll wait for your new version with the new server, if you want me to mirror ur resource files I can do that for u. I have my own colo server in my country which is pretty fast. PM me I'll give you username and password to try on.
Thanks

Title: icon replacer
Post by: chrno on April 17, 2007, 07:11:15 PM
thanks Stevens, but is just another way to do the same, in fact live2 way (using cases) and file.ext gives the same result, the difference is live2 gives the process tasks to the client cpu, and the file.ext to the hfs or server cpu. So I, has ultra basic programmer, I preffer to give more processes to the client instead of the server. By the way, there's no good or wrong way all them are valid.
Thanks anyway for the hint!

wow, mp3 streamer!, what the hell i been missing.
TO DO:
store photos in new server
implement mp3 streamer
open photos, music and videos to receive addons.

haha, each to their own i guess, I find the new extension sections to be a lot more efficient personally, i have had case functions like yours in the past, but i found it really laggy.

I've added you to my msn, if we can talk more freely in conversation a lot more cool features can come to life, I talk to a lot of members from the forum, including rejetto, and a lot of the coolest stuff has come from that :D

Foggy, I'm glad that you liked! sorry for the long wait.

Like some of the people here I agree, it would be great if you could release a vesion that stores the images locally. A key reason is because you can not use the template on a LAN unless an internet connection is present.
Title: Re: HFS Live 2
Post by: TSG on April 20, 2007, 09:46:43 AM
Is it just me... or do people actually prefer local image hosting :P

I have always been unsure about this, i figured that it would complicate things having them locally hosted. Turns out people prefer it haha.

sooo pro
this template looks outstanding
kudos

I used an external server (for the photos) for many reasons:

i think it is a good idea.
but i would give the option to have local images.

Quote
The second reason is related with the cache, for some reason when using images in the img folder (using HFS) the photos always reloads when jumping from page to page,

this was fixed in version 2.1
maybe you using an old version?

you can try to change every %host% that you can find inside the template, because %host% will resolve in your server's IP address.

hope it helps

I dont think so. I think Chrno wrote most of it in javascript so if it is possible it would involve alot of work rewriting it.

Is it possible to have a "non-javascript" version?

Javascript is the way of the future with HFS, with even the default template probably going to be written in AJAX. Without Javascript you can expect a lack of features.

All sites use it. Use this forum without Javascript and you will notice it acts very strangely. Javascript is really not that scary. Buy a good security software, and use browsers like Firefox and Opera and the internet is a pretty safe place nowadays with Javascript. The fears of Javascript are just stupid. And you can trust us not to put anything nasty in our code.

On the other hand... looking at HFS Live and the way it works. YES it could be possible to do alot of it without Javascript. BUT. You will loose a lot of cool features. A lot of it is written dynamically with Javascript functions. so extracting this to a basic HTML/CSS layout like the ToG will be a time consuming process. I have put alot of effort into making the ToG perfect for Javascript and Non-Javascript users. But from conversation with Chrono a few days ago, He is struggling to find the time to update 4 templates. So give him a break. And stop complaining about Javascript. TSG OUT.

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Where/How can I upload with this template?

Thanks.

The template is really nice. I configured my Firefox/NoScript to allow for this template/URL Javascript.

I believe it works just like any other template. Just allow upload on a folder and a link should appear somewhere on the page. (rightclick on a real folder)

hey there, seems like today is the day of updates, firefox, hfs, well its my turn now :)
there's only one BUT in the middle. Some of you knows my situation, my free time is almost zero, work, studies, tesis other projects, more work... Live is not a minor project and it requires a lot of time debugging and adapting things, that is why in this ocation Live Black and Live Red are not going to be released and fans will need to wait to be worked and pulished, (Live Black has changed only 1 of 5 pages, Live Red has not been worked)

There's a lot of changes but first i want to thank to all the people who participated in Live Local and Live Stream.
Thanks goes first to 3g0n and sokoolz both allowed us to use their servers as Live 2 images and contents provider, yep that's right, no more Geocities and photobucket.... ~unless you want (if so, you'll have to wait again lol)
Next I want to thank to That Steven Guy, ~i just say steven is shortter~, and ALL THE TEAM who worked in the beginnigs of MP3 Streamer for Thunderchicken of glory and Live 0.3, based of their works I developed Live Stream.
Giant Egle, flynsarmy and Stevens for the browseable tree aka "Breadcrumb code". (I copyed and adapted to live so all credits go to them)
Who else? well all the people that added me to messenger giving me their support and feedback. Ok, I think that's all

Here goes the change List:
[Added] Ability to Choice a Live 2 Web Server
[Added] Live 2 Local, your HFS provides Live 2 files
[Added] Live Stream, Listen your MP3's without download them in a new window.
[Added] (from beta to release) Live Stream direct jump to song directory and direct download (can be disabled if you want)
[Added] MSS for WMA and MP3 for audio stream through Windows Media
[Added] More Icons!
[Added] Browseable tree
[Added] Windows Live Mobile Shortcut for PSP users
[Fixed] PSP Support!! Live will detect your PSP system and will display for it withou entering to delete nothing on the code.
[Fixed] Icon replace, 100% stable.
[Fixed] Minor graphical glitches in Live Menu
[Changed] Some icons and exported in png insted of gif
[Changed] Live Menu items resorte, Search In google and Wikipeadia was removed, changed to Check my Gmail and Live Hotmail

Now you see why Live is not a minor project....
So tadaaaaa... Live 2 Ultima Blue:

while Live 2 servers get the last update i'm going to answer some questions that have been pending loong ago, ok, from the most recent ones:

Quote
I am in love with this template, but i dont know how to get it to work on the PSP, im using the black template but i cant get anything to scroll, am i forgetting to do somthing or is it just not compatible yet?
Yes, you forgot to erase a command, If you use Live Black read the first paragraph of Live template ;)
Live Blue (Ultima) 2.204 autorecognizes PSP system so you dont need to do anything (only on 2.204 versions)

Quote
Where can i upload with this template?
You can upload files with the upload icon located in the top right side of the page, wow that was basic.

Quote
Is it possible to have a "non-javascript" version?
Absolutely NO!!

Quote
Impractical for low bandwidth users tho lol.
I guess you're right, i've never tested Live Ultima in slow connection so i can't say how much it takes to load the first time, Live Basic is the answer to slow connections, but, once again i never tested.

Quote
Can't wait for Music Player
thanks for waiting, I hope you like the mp3 streamer as much as i do.

Quote
Live ULTIMA BLACK 2.204?
I'm working on that 1 of 5 pages has been re-adapted to the new code, Live Black is specially harder because is a modification of Live Blue, my own customization to the classic one, i really like the black version but i've made so much changes than a update wasn't easy as i though.
when this version get updated you'll get a notification on your Live Black homepage... when? don't even ask LOL

Quote
Live ULTIMA RED 2.204?
RED modification is much more simple than the black version, but i also have some problems.
I've made no updates to this template so red template fan should wait more than black fans.

Quote
Live Stream BLUE RED WHITE AND PINK?!!
yup that wass all the colors that was planned but there was some problems in between so black is the only stable one,
Blue and Red may work but sometimes (by an unknown problem) the seekbar and the seeker point doesn't works.
White and Pink were the firsts players that i made, the size is specially small but i noticed the popup windows doesn't allow to resize to that size, so the solution was obvious: a bigger player

Quote
LIVE 2 IN WII AND PS3?
i'm very curious about this, if someone can send me a screen shot would be nice, wii version may have a graphic glitch that not center the table of contents, the ps3 i dunno :)

ok, thats all, sorry for the long delay of the answers,
take care.

when downloading the black version i get the template for the blue

i believe only blue template available at the moment. i dont know if u talking about previous version.

Chrno, i love your new mp3 stream. however, i think i found smthing wrong. when i view my page, this message appear instead of listing the item

Quote

');} var showhide = readCookie('showhits');if (showhide == 2){showtime = "none";showhits= "none";}else if (showhide == 1){showtime = "visible";showhits= "visible";}else {showtime = "visible";showhits= "none";}document.write('19/07/2007 22:12:50
0 B0 '+txt_visits+'
');

i believe the problem happen for newly added files. ive tried for these type of files: doc, txt, htm, html. i even try uploading jpg file which result the same prob. but adding "new link" from hfs menu do not result this prob. can u please check this prob when u have time?

thanks

I have had this problem but after a new installtion all works fine

i dont think file name is the prob here, bcause every file that i create will be like that.

just to mention; europoy.JPG, ayam.html, Copy of d01 megashares.htm, Copy of REALGHOSTSFOOTAGESNO.gvp, every file inside /hfslive/, .....

*new Folder do not show this problem

**tried clear cache, firefox 2.0.0.4, ie 6, operaUSB 9.21. all result the same

wahhh there's a bug with the "new" flag :'(
Working on the patch
Solution for the moment: Disable NEW flag by going to MENU (hfs) > Virtual File System > Flagg files added recently
leave the input area in blank

Update
Live 2.204 "New Files" Issue
This problem occured because the %new%, inside javascript, was not compatible with HFS. The script halts and the users only see code.
Update will be available as Live 2.205 in a few hrs.
This problem affects only Live Ultima Blue 2.204 Spanish and English templates and not Live 2 Local or any Live 2 Servers
Thanks radd for the feedback

one more thing, im not sure wheter i couldnt find how to download archive using Live 2 or u havent implement %archivable% in this template yet..

and for michel question, upload button at the top right, not left. however i believed he already find the button.

continue your nice work.. and next time start your new project with blue template, bc i like blue.. hehe

no, it is not. i just tried it on build 120. just link to ~folder.tar but i know u need to think for the new look if u wan to add this button. and i even know that u busy so its ok, take your time. btw this function is not famous yet, people dont even realize if it available it think. the client, i meant.

chrno, open the default tpl, search for "archiv" and you'll see it's very easy...
Title: Re: HFS Live 2
Post by: radd on July 20, 2007, 10:43:03 AM
forgot to say, wee still need to set folder that we allow to be archived. in hfs, right click on the folder, select archivable.
perhaps what you should do, on for this particular folder, archive menu appear on shortcut. but not for other folder. this can be set by using %archive% and [archive]
one more thing, if parent folder set to be archivable, all childs will be archivable too even we set to not.
Title: Re: HFS Live 2
Post by: chrno on July 20, 2007, 03:27:08 PM
ok, thanks rejetto
btw, is necesary to set the folder as archivable? because i simply type ~folder.tar in the url and the download file dialog appears.
The folder is "real" and archivable wasn't checked. ???
Title: Re: HFS Live 2
Post by: rejetto on July 20, 2007, 03:29:44 PM
hover the mouse over the folder, and you will know if the folder is archivable.
by default, the root is archivable (thus everything else).

Well
now I'm playing with italian translation of this nice tpl.

There are some problems ...

First, some times the <br /> don't works.

Second, some chars like à, è, ì, ò and ù are right visualized if written in this way e.g.: è = &egrave; otherwise in screen appears like are written (imgs will explain better what I want say)

Third, after translation of error section, when error appears I haven't the standard screen for this error but only the number of error and all the rest white page.

Any hints

Tnx

Hi darkmatter

your time calculator don't works in IE7 (but also with IE6)

The same behaviour appears also in my local environment hfs 2.2 + hfs live en_ultima_blu.

It should be a bug from hfs live, but more certain I think is a IE problem .

With Firefox and Opera all works fine.

best regards

The newest version looks great, but how do I change to the Black Theme?
Even though I have this set already:
livestream_skin         = "black";
Title: Re: HFS Live 2
Post by: fabnos on July 27, 2007, 08:46:43 AM
Even though I have this set already:
livestream_skin         = "black";

Here you can only change the behaviour of player (red, black, blue) and not of all tpl

Code: [Select]
livestream_skin = "black"; // black, blue o red (blue y red pueden presentar problemas en la barra de navegación)

Anyway, you can read some howto in:

Live 2.205 Ultima Blue ENGLISH with Live 2 Local\Setup resources\hfslive\docs\livedocs_en.txt

but substitution of imgs pattern (in template) from blue to black it's a little long  :-\

so somethings from testing: myblack_live ...

Perhaps it's better if we wait the template's author  ;)

Totally gay. HFS2 root display without your template loads in under 1s. With your crappy template and all that stupid stuff it does (connecting to various external websites such as geocities (I better don't ask what is happening there.. transmitting my file-listings to other server is not quite secure..)) it takes about 10s.

Crappiest crap ever. I recommend to NOT use it to you all. Slow like hell and insecure.

The eyecandy is nice though.

talking normal template.. the default template isnt normal enough to you? why do u chose to use other template, then put the blame to the template? theres nothing wrong to give negative comment as long as it help improve something in future.
come on, there are many template available, every template have its own value. if u want simple but fast template just use the default. if u want something more but also fast, try use ToG or terayon. live2 is for people who need template that have VERY NICE LOOK, dont care much about performance. they have their right to choose, isnt it? everybody have own taste. so dont blame each other, leave peacefully.

Can't you at least be patient and pay a little respect to him? ???

I guess they can't anymore...

I'm not going to hide it, i LOVE the graphics on the template... i wish i had the bandwidth to serve these levels of images, hell if i did i would have a template just as graphical as this for myself and my users ;), some of the features are nice. But i cant say the same for the code, performance, annnd... Chrno i think it would be much simpler for you to host everything in a template folder lol.

who the hell is that m4ko?? TO HIM: there's nothing more gay that spread shit to others and the never come back, if you don't like something you simply don't use it!!, and  i bet you to do a template and see if you can do something better than just give crap to others hard work.

ok, sorry rejetto but i can't just read.

2nd. thank for all the support stevens, well in fact i use only one folder but there is one script to detect if other servers are available: the geocities server (planning to quit of it, but not yet), the 3g0n server, the sokoolz server and the local hfs server, thats why you'll see those connections in your browser status. the code simply try to connect to those servers (like a ping) and nothing more

to community:
thanks for all the patience but its seems i abused of that, well, i can't do anything more for hurry up you know, remember you're always free to choose another template or do one yourself. I started from the standard hfs template and i finished in something totally different, sure with help of others in the way, but it was fun, i've learned a lot of javascript and html at the end. So, if you have 10 or 20 minutes, try to change something in the hfs default template and you'll see that is easy to start doing your own custom template and surprise more than one in this forum, here everyone will help you (except m4ko lol)
ok, thanks for everything once again, and... update are comming but don't get impatient ;)

Find the link to download those files, and put target="_blank" in the A tag.

Here is some basic help if you need it. http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

I am unsure if HFS Live even uses html links...

For the links to open in a 'popup', you will have to use some javascript.

chrno, just want to say something here. for mp3 player, if we hide file extension, the player will fail to play because it will try to play "musicfile" instead of musicfile.mp3

kychen i will look into it now. I figured HFS live would use javascript :P i will see if i can find it then post a quick guide to fix it.

Update:
lol, i have edited the links in, [file], filetypes.js, filetypes_imageresize(alpha).js, and made sure Live is using local files... and i still cannot get images to open in a new window... i have this feeling it is using the external files even tho i have selected local files in that popup, the server select popup that keeps returning with every page load lol... have i found a bug here?

Please remove the external servers and make the images open in a new window for the next build Chrno :)

EDIT: had a talk with chrno, my theory was correct, about the external files...

hfslive folder is inside your downloaded zip file when u download this template, can u find it? drag this folder to the hfs window just like u insert any other file or folder to hfs.

if u still dont understand, try this. rightclick on hfs at "home" icon, select Add folder from disk.. browse to the hfslive folder and press ok

Hi

Live 2 rocks! But is there a manual somewhere? I'm facing some trouble with this version:
- Thumbnails are not working for me (shows just file icon)
- MP3 streaming opens a player window, but does not play and main window shows "link broken"
- HFS status shows "Access denied"

Please can someone tell me where to get the manual or how to solve the problems mentioned?
I'm using HFS 2 build 125 and Live 2 build 205.

Thanks

Thanks for your answer. You mean that "Install Live 2.2.exe"? This is just very basic and does not answer
any of my questions. For example the HFS status window tells me "access denied". I have no idea where
to grant rights, you know?

hollywood, i dont understand why u having this problem. hfslive should be very easy to use, u dont need to bother about diff template.. or any other thing. the main different that i can say is this template give option to chose whether to load template files from your own server or online server by sokoolz and 3gon.

i just want to ask, do you use 'hide file extension in listing' option? i ask because i used this option in my mp3 folder, what happen is that, mp3 fails to play because it try to play "filename" instead of "filename.mp3". this might cause problem of mp3 and thumbnail.

for hfs status - access denied, i wonder how can that happen. can u try type http://yourhost:port/~progress see if you can access this page. the hfs status link should redirect you to this page. im afraid u have problem importing tpl file to html editor. whats os u use?

and last thing, just to make sure, please dont block javascript because this template really need it.. and that causing you say "Live 2 rocks!"  ;D
Title: Re: HFS Live 2

Hi radd,

thanks for your answer. You're completely right, it should be easy to use, that's what I was used from Live 1,
which worked perfectly. I did the same installation as before, I was just wondering why some details do not work for me in Live2.

Nevertheless I figured out the cause for one error that I had, the one with the missing thumbnails: I have a couple of picture folders starting  with a hash (#). Folders starting like that are not thumbnailed, cannot be previewed or downloaded, I guess its a bug, it worked with Live1.

I do not hide anything, except the hfslife folder. I tried removing the hiding, but I still get "access to file or folder denied. Code 406" error when choosing "status". I don't really need this status, but I just wanted to know to what file/folder HFS needs access to.  ???

MP3 streaming is still not working, but maybe I will find out by myself as well, I will compare the code to Life1 twhere streaming worked fine. Eventually this is all linked to the way I configured HFS, I use a quite complex way for building a folder structure
for each user individually, maybe I'll check with a "naked" version of HFS.

There is one more question that just came to my mind: this ~folder.tar option to download complete folders is great, but how can I add an icon to each folder to start the download of this complete folder? I have some real noobs donloading stuff from my server (e.g. my father ;)), who will call me crazy if I told him "add a ~folder.tar to the URL". I don't have enough experience in HTML to do it by myself, but I guess it should be quite easy?

Thanks a lot for your help!!

Best regards
Hollywood

Firstly, HFS doesn't have a 406 error... Secondly, with build 125 you can just use the new 'Temporary Reset' to get the naked HFS you are after haha...

Also. I wouldn't recommend using HFS Live until Chrno releases the next build... there is a few bugs and the external servers can be a hassle at times. This is just my opinion though...

In the template, make a section [archive] and put %archive% where you want the contents of [archive] to go, this will obviously be a link for ?folder.tar?recursive, it will only show if you have 'Archiveable' selected for the folder.
Title: Re: HFS Live 2
Post by: Hollywood on August 16, 2007, 08:11:17 AM
Well, I found out what caused this 406 error. btw, it comes from Live2, not from HFS. Wanne see a screenshot?  ;)
I used to have Stunnel in front of HFS. If this is disabled, the status window works, if Stunnel is enabled, it does not work.
Since I never got any trouble with Stunnel in Live1, so I considered it to be harmless... At the end of the day it was my fault,
the status button works ok...

I used the temporary reset option, even reset the file system, but still no streaming. Guess I'll wait for the next stable build and see what's up.
Thanks for the hint with the [archive], I#ll try that on the weekend.
And even if some things do not work for me, I will keep this version installed, looks too good to go back...   ;D

Cheers, guys!

im not talking about hiding folder, but hiding file extension "file.*". however, seems you solve ur thumbnail prob. for mp3, i just realize this. mms not working anymore for me. if im not mistaken, somebody post in this forum told that mms not supported anymore in wmp 11. i havent update to wmp11, now use 10. updated firefox to 2.0.0.6 but still use ie6. i think last month mp3stream still working but now not anymore. not only for this template, streaming code that i taken from terayon also fails. anyone know the reason why this fail?

about archive, you can put it as shortcut for easier. in the template code find this part
Code: [Select]
// Live Shortcuts - Part 2 (SHORTCUTS02)

// ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
new_shortcuts = 0; // the quantity of shortcuts you've made
// End of this customization
change 0 to 1

and this part
Code: [Select]
<!--  Add Shortcuts to Live Shortcuts - Part 2  (SHORTCUTS01)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
1. Copy the following lines:
<a title="" href="target address (URL)" ><img alt="" src="http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n205/hfslive/img/tools/bookmark1.gif" class="menu_icon"/>
My Shortcut<br></a>

2. Paste them after the " - -> " symbol below.
3. Folow the instructions detailed in "Add Shortcuts" in the Live's Help document (Live Menu > Help) or Edit href and My Shortcut.
-->
change target address to "/~folder.tar?recursive", "my shortcut" to "download archive" to or wahtever.

if u noticed, it still use image from photobucket. u can change the source if u want to call it locally. just leave it if u dont mind.
the downside of using this way is if u dont set the folder to be archivable, the link is still present but ur visitor will directed to access denied page. u can merge this way and [archive] way as TSG told.

good luck!

Yes mms:// does not work anymore. The best way to stream .mp3 now is to use a flash player... we just need something for .mpg, .wmv, .wma now, that does not involve windows media player... has to be cross browser compatible....

Let me be the umpteenth person to commend you and all your hard work on this project.  OUTSTANDING job....WOW...just WOW

About the ONLY option I'd like to see added is the ability to host the HFS folder where ever you want. (the one you pick "global", "hungary" or "local server") My ISP gives me 15MB of storage, however, they don't even monitor the traffic so I could host the folder there.  I would love to host this folder there instead of on my local file server.  (Tried using SoKooLz server but after waiting for a song to stream for 5 minutes I gave up.)

The Hz of the mp3 file needs to be devide-able by 11025. Meaning 11025, 22050, 33075, 44100 are having no problems at all.
Next, the song must have a constant bitrate. If you use a variable bitrate, it may sound funny in some or most flash players.

I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I have found an issue with HFS Live 2.  I have my site set up with access through both an SSL connection (https) and a non-SSL connection(http), both of which use the same address, but obviously different ports.  The problem I have found is that when I'm connected to the https connection, and then when you click on a folder, it uses the https connection, but if you click on a file, it uses the http connection.  Has anyone else notice this and know how to fix this?  If I use the default template, I don't have this problem.

The last build was only released in Blue.

Chrno hasn't got time to work on this template much anymore.

If someone has got the time *count me out this time :P i'm working on an essay*
can they repackage a HFS Live Ultima Black in a .rar or .zip for all the people requesting,
grab the latest Blue Ultima and redo the images like Comrade Elisey suggested above (http://www.rejetto.com/forum/index.php?topic=4401.msg1027142#msg1027142).

Just IM me when you are done and i will sort out hosting and a forum link.

live 2 local is great :-)
thanks too chrno!

but i dont like that it tries to connect to sokool.com and other servers and i dont want to choose a server, that's confusing for users.

first point is, some of them are damn slow and cause their answer slows down everything cause live2 is waiting for their answer!
pls add something like
server=http://www.my-server.com/path-to-hfslive-files
and also think that not everyone wants to use /hfslive/ as foldername, so let this entry point to the place where docs, images, js and streamer are located.

that's why i tried to remove all external urls from the template and the serverX.js files and only let the /hfslive/ in the path, but now i have a strange problem:
if i use:
127.0.0.1 (localhost), 192.168.178.25 (internal ip) or my external ip it looks perfect, but if i use my username.ath.cx adress or the name "localhost" it only loads the template without any js-file or css-file like they are not accessable, but when i type http://localhost/hfslive/js/server1.js i get the js-file oO
and yes it is set to accept connections on any ip

and yes mp3stream isnt working, but that is known, like i read on the 11 pages here =(

an overlay icon / special icon for proteced folders would be good!
and ~folder.tar
and ~folder.tar?recursive

edit:
ok i uploaded the files to my freespace and edited the js-files and template according this and now it works :-)
i would still love if i can choose my server - local or webspace but not be dependent of 3rd party servers.

Yes the external servers are the cause. Also the template is very bloated which puts a lot of strain on bandwidth, try a smaller template if you have... probably less than 512kbps upload.

is someone able to disable all this server choice and cookie reading etc stuff?

i only want to have a variable where i can set my server so i can set server = "hfslive/" if it is hosted by hfs itself or set server = "http://.../hfslive/" if it is on another webserver. i really like the theme but there is so much javascript that i dont get the point where to change/delete something so that there is no need to choose a server or such things.

I ask about the Email invited.
I had tranlated the Language to Chinese.
And then I send e-mail to invite friends to join it.I write Chinese on the email message.
but then the Email's message to be shown in my email-cleint  is incorrect .
Then I write English ,it will be ok.

I know it is the problem with font code. Can I to change something to fix this problem?

Thanks!!

you can write an email in hfs live. so he types chinese letters and it seems to be ok in hfs live "window".

but the receiver of this email doesnt see the same. for him it is shown incorrect.

maybe a thing with the encoding  for example unicode / latin-1 (ISO 8859-1)

thats what i understand.

i think it could be done with encodeURIComponents() and escape() in js-file.

please post a screenshot of the moment before you push the "send" button in htflive (correct view) and the result in your email client (incorrect view).

Thanks for the link. I was finally able to get the theme working on my site. One question I have about the theme. Is there a way to have an images folder instead of having the theme access geosites for all of its images, icons, etc...  I would hate to lose this image because geocites goes down or for whatever reason. Would be nice to store it on my own hard drive.

I like the look of this theme, but I have a few suggestions. One which has been re-iterated a lot it seems, and some others.

1) Offsite images etc... I don't like this, and I would like an easy way to disable the popup as well as make it only ever use locally available files. I realize this causes an issue with banned IPs not being able to download the theme to view the banned page, but that's their loss for being banned. Otherwise I think it should work fine as you can disable logging of downloads on directories so they wouldn't affect the count.

2) I'd like an easy way to set the default look, such as what viewable options are default (hits, comments and date). If I've overlooked such an option, I apologize.

3) On directories with images, is there a way you could allow/make thumbnails like the Thunderchicken theme? I don't like the idea of people visiting a directory of pictures, and having them all download, in full, each time. I've temporarily disabled this feature on mine by removing the line in the .js and replacing it with the .tga line. Which just gives them all the .tga icon instead.

4) A button on the right for stats and such, instead of in the menu. As I'd like to disable the menu and make the logo a link back to 'Home'

5) Since it seems to follow a windows-esk look, an option to change from Details/Thumbnails/Icons/List like in explorer would be neat. (Possible limitation of HFS?)

6) User restricted folders should some how indicate they're restricted. For the time being I have in the "Comment" put <b>Restricted</b>, but without option 2, this isn't visable until someone chooses to change what's displayed.

I know I sound demanding, and I apologize, but these are just features I'd love to see :)

Thanks for the theme!

Run Live 2.2 and above directly in your HFS with Live 2 Local.
Download the package and copy the "hfslive" directory into the root of your hfs.
Live 2 Local v2.205 (http://www.box.net/shared/90e5iq2u1x)

this is as close as you'll get to images locally unless chrno comes back and releases a version that only uses local images.

It works, you are just experiencing the annoying external server bug. There are 3 servers the template uses (slow and annoying servers) to host all the image files of the template. You can remove it apparently, but if you have the patience, i have spoken to chrno personally about the issues with the template, he doesn't have time to hit the forum anymore. He said he'd work on the template in December. So.. for now. use another template.

Hubs are just multi-port repeaters, if you can get it working from one, it should be accessible for all.  You didnt give us much information but run the self-test, if it gets through it should definitly work on lan, and on the internet as well. (assuming it was able to route to the interwebs)

Assuming your on windows: go to start -> run -> type 'cmd'  without the apostrophes, when you get a command prompt type: ipconfig and find your ip address (run this command on the computer that hfs is running on). Then go on another pc within the lan and pull up http://192.168.1.X where X represents the Ip of the HFS computer.   (192 assuming its a class C address)

On linux: Press alt+f2, and run konsole (for kde) or gnome-terminal (for gnome), then run ifconfig or /sbin/ifconfig if need be.

You will need to make it: http://192.168.1.X:12225 if you are using a non-standard port (example uses 12225, it can be anything)
Make sure firewalls are off on the HFS box, or they are allowing HFS.

If this explanation doesnt help, please explain what you've tryed a little better.

Edit: I guess I misunderstood, did you get it working ForEVEr, just not with the Live template?

Thank you ELEVENNNN

but you really misunderstod !!

I have HFS, it works 100% perfectly on my LAN

everybody can access, browse, download and upload.

you can see attached photo

All what I want to do is just I want to apply "Live 2" template instade of the classic one, in the photo.

The problem is
when I import the template to HFS it will try to get the photos of the template from the internet while my HFS is OFFLINE, it is only local, people in my lan only can access it not from internet !!

I hope you get my point.

Ok, I have very limited programming skills, but I have changed the server references to only reference local images.  I have fixed the Live Assistant in the lower right corner, so it works now as well.  Oh, and I think I have all of the link references fixed so that whether or not you use HTTP or HTTPS, all links should show and work properly.

I have also inserted the new search feature at the bottom, so you should use the latest HFS 2.3 Beta or later with this template.  In addition, when you click on the HTTP File Server Live button on the top left and open the Live Shortcuts menu, I have added Folder Archive and File List menu items.

I'm posting all of the necessary files in a zip archive HERE (http://www.mediafire.com/?fxhnj1z2l7i).  I can't remember exactly which files I edited in the hfslive folder over the last couple of months (if any at all), so I'm including everything in that folder.  After downloading and extracting, just replace your hfslive folder with the one in the archive, and import the tpl file into the HFS template editor.  I would suggest that you backup your old files first though.

I offer no guarantees that everything will work for you, but everything I have mentioned above does work for me in IE6, Firefox, and Opera.  USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

ForEVEr,

It sounds to me like you have a setting in HFS set incorrectly.  Try searching through this thread, because I think the problem you are having was mentioned earlier and I believe there was a fix (If I remember correctly, it had something to do with the max connections setting in HFS, but I'm not sure).  I don't have time to look for it now, but I will later.  I have no problem browsing any folders when I use this template.  I have many of them (probably somewhere around 100-200 of them), but have never had the problem your are mentioning, at least not in a long, long time.

great template!!!

and I have a question:
one day I've downloaded a HFS 2.2 zip-folder in which I found HFS itself and a version of a LIVE template but without a *.tpl file, so I don't know the version of that template (i'm sure that its Live, cause there is about.html which describes template as Live)
The reason why I want to know it is - in the "template" folder there were FLashMP3Player.swf and FLVplayer.swf (last thing surprised me very much)

is it any "official version"? is it possible to find out a tpl-file for it
or at least - is there any possibility to add flashmp3player and flvplayer to LIVE 2

Title: Re: HFS Live 2

I think live has an mp3 player but not certain. If live doesn't have an mp3 player it is possible to add it but it would take some work to get it working.

Im just curious at how you can download hfs and the live template with out getting a *.tpl.

You couldnt say where you downloaded the zip file could you? I'd like to have a look for myself :)

well actually that zip was a part of WinXP Installation CD called ZverCD (http://www.zvercd.com/news.php?extend.9) my version is 7.10.3 (it updates every month)
I don't think that there is any reason for you to download 700 MB of ISO, so I attach the template folder from that HFS which is included in ZverCD (there are only 2 things in C:\program files\HFS just after Win instalation is compleated - HFS.exe [ver.2.2a build 124] and template folder)
lately I've replaced HFS to ver 2.1d 088 - cause there is russian language for it.

PS: due to size restrictment of this forum, I uploaded the file on another file-exchange service, sorry
here is the link - http://www.sendspace.com/file/g833sy

D.C.O.,

The zip file you attached appears to be a partial archive of the original Live 0.2.5 and not Live 2.  You can do a search for it and find out more if you would like.

On a separate note, I have been trying to implement TSG and Giant Eagle's RAWR-Player into Live 2. I have been able to successfully implement it, but there are still several issues with it.  One is that the audio starts in Firefox, but the player never actually shows the controls, or any video.  Another in Opera and IE is that the audio, video, and the player all show up and work, but for some reason, the background images at the top and the grey address bar in Live 2 are on top of the player if it pops up that high on the screen.

If there is anyone out there that would like to help and has better javascript programming skills than my "Cut and Paste", "Reverse Engineering", and "Trial and Error" methods, please send me a PM.

Those problems with the player... there is no video :P the audio would start if you have autoplay on... no idea with the controls, even if the backgrounds don't load there should always be play/pause icons etc.

Try changing the z-index: ; of the preview box, might fix the image problem you're having.

I seriously reckon its all the js errors causing the problems. Get firebug for Firefox and you will see what i mean.

The mp3 player that is inside the template folder is the same player Terayon v1.2.1 uses. Same goes for the java folder and the flv player.

I was wondering if you will ever release a version of HFS Live where all the content is hosted locally.

I know this has been asked before, but lets say rather than having hfsliveicon.ico hosted in this location:

http://www.geocities.com/hfslive/ico/hfsliveicon.ico

Have it hosted locally. Is the Template capable of retrieving these files by folder, such as /hfslive/ico/hfsliveicon.ico and it will grab it from this location in the File system?

If so, then I could add the hfslive folder to the tree as a hidden, non-browsable folder, and that folder located in the zip file would already have all the necessary sub folders and files required by the template.

Sorry if I'm not explaining it very well.

If this is not planned, I could always get each file manually and change the path manually.

Post by: JohnnyGrey on December 04, 2007, 08:06:51 AM
Ok, I'm using the Black version, and I've got everything in the template changed to retrieve files locally. A few snags though:

1) The "send URL via email" little pop up is visible at upper left hand corner underneath the main logo. Clicking the menu and then selecting the email option doesn't move the window, and it is still under the main title.

2) The icon types aren't showing up for my hosted files.

3) The "Live Shortcuts" menu works, but is a little messed up.

Now I did notice that the live_web.css file on geocities (the location this template originally grabbed from) is different than the one I have locally, so I used what was on geocities, but that didnt work.

My goal is to have the template grad EVERYTHING locally, no third party sites whatsoever.

So far I have changed all photobucket and gecities links and replaced with them with my own server's web address.

What I'm saying is how I changed it wouldn't work for someone else, so today I am gonna work on changing it to automatically browse the host, so that way I can upload it and have it work for someone else.

Keep in mind in order for the local content to work, you must add the hfslive folder to your File System. I have my folder hidden and non-browsable.

Also keep in mind that some of the files the template grabbed from the internet were not in the local hfslive folder, so I downloaded them one by one, such as the hfslive/img/black/files/ folder. This folder had all the icons pertaining to the file types.

I don't know HTML or Java, but I am experienced in copy and pasting, so I am unable to figure out a way to automatically browse my own server instead of manually replacing ALL the links in the template.

In the template, for the files, it says "use an HFS path or HTTP URL," but when i just leave it like this:

bg_image_url = "/hfslive/img/black/bg.gif";         // use an HFS path or HTTP URL

It doesn't work. You guys have any suggestions? Am I typing that path wrong? (the img folder is correct)

I still have no clue how to retrieve files from an HFS folder rather than a full URL.

I did fix my problem I had before.

The constant "email URL" window underneath the banner was a either a URL or a setting in the main template or some where in one of the .js files. I forgot what I did.

The messed up Live 2 Menu was solved through the live_web.css style sheet file in the /css/ folder. I just changed the width of some things and the hex color values.

Icon types were solved by downloading all the files in this photobucket album:

http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n205/hfslive/img/black/files/

and then placing them in the corresponding folder that was missing to begin with.

JEFF
Those problems with the player... there is no video :P the audio would start if you have autoplay on... no idea with the controls, even if the backgrounds don't load there should always be play/pause icons etc.

Try changing the z-index: ; of the preview box, might fix the image problem you're having.

I seriously reckon its all the js errors causing the problems. Get firebug for Firefox and you will see what i mean.
Ok, I should have said I was having problems trying to implement the RAWR-PreviewBox, specifically the RAWR-Player and Divx/AVI Player portions.  I installed Firebug about a week ago, and I think I have fixed the javascript errors....assuming I understood what Firebug was telling me.  I've attached a picture of what Firebug is now telling me, which is that it doesn't recognize filter:alpha(opacity=#) (where # obviously is some number.)  From what I have found out and I'm sure you already know, filter:alpha is a property specific to IE, so Firefox and Opera ignore it, more or less.  Firebug does not appear to be reporting any other javascript errors, unless I'm missing something completely.  Like I said, I may be wrong as I'm not entirely sure I understand how to use Firebug correctly anyway.  I think I have it set to show all Errors, but there may be more to do than just selecting the options from the dropdown Options menus.  If I missed something in Firebug to get it to report all Javascript errors, please point me in the right direction if you could.

I took your suggestion for changing the z-index of the PreviewBox, and used it to solve the problem of the greybar covering the player popups, in a roundabout way.  Changing the z-index of the PreviewBox had no affect on it.  However, I changed the z-index of the greybar so that it was equal to the table? containing the files and folders view (I think its called a table, but if not, please correct me ;).)  This solved the problem of the greybar covering the PreviewBox in Firefox and Opera.  However, in IE6, as you can see in the attached pictures, the greybar and background images cover the PreviewBox if it is outside of the files and folders table.  I will chalk this up to a problem with IE6.  One more thing I noticed was that since changing the z-index of the PreviewBox had no affect at all on fixing this issue, it appears that the PreviewBox is inheriting the z-index of the rest of the table it is contained within.  This seems strange, but the z-index of the PreviewBox is 75, and the only way I could get the greybar to not cover it was to change the z-index of the greybar from 5 to 4, which happens to be the same setting for the Azul/files and folders table.

I'm still having the same problem of the players not showing properly in Firefox.  Opera and IE6 are working fine, but I get no controls with the RAWR-Player in Firefox when playing an MP3, only the audio playing and the Loading gif in the PreviewBox.  And I get no video or divx player controls with the Divx/AVI Player in Firefox when playing an AVI, only the audio playing and the Loading gif in the PreviewBox.  Attached are more pictures illustrating this.

Foggy, are you interested in helping me figure this out, if you're still bored?

Thanks Foggy.

You can get everything you need HERE (http://www.mediafire.com/?1mwwamyx0zq).  It's all in a zip archive.

You will need to put the hfslive folder and the template folder, which is in the TOG folder, into the root of hfs, load the template, and you're off and running.  Let me know if there is anything else I can provide.

not sure if this has anything to do with the loading image staying but I noticed if I change the timeout on spawnMP3box function the mp3 name appeared and it started playing as soon as it timed out. I'll ask tsg about it later, to see if he can enlighten me on how it specifically works.
Code: [Select]
/* Spawn MP3 box. */
function spawnMP3Box(target,file) {
spawnBox(target,320,50);
setTimeout("setMP3Box(\""+target+"\",\""+file+"\");",10);
}

Edit: On second thought, I dont think it has anything todo with it. Im just confused why it isnt showing because the player is embeded and playing.

Edit2: As far as I can see in the DOM inspector everything is fine, I cant see any differences between live and the tog when playing a mp3. I've copied the xml of the div of the box's from both templates if anyone cares to look if it is in fact right.

I agree as well. I tried out the two templates, and all I did is switch templates, I left the same .js files and .css files, and the mp3 box works on one template, but not the other, which is odd.

I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to think that the issue is related to a problem with Firefox 2 and not with the coding in either template.  I installed the latest version of the Firefox 3 pre-beta, and everything works just fine.  I have also noticed other websites (more and more it seems with every Firefox 2 update) that don't load properly with Firefox 2, but they do with Firefox 3, Opera, and even IE6.  I'm just guessing it has something to do with Firefox 2's handling of the javascript libraries, but I'm just shooting in the dark on this one.

I do know of firefox 2's slight problem with javascript, A gaming forum I use has problems with firefox 2 crashing due to the javascript. Ill test and see what happens with IE6 later.

lol i doubt it's the firefox javascript bug. The only reason firefox will crash is due to a infinite loop, which is probably the case here there is a few loops in our code.

Also you have screwed up the with the module heading, (referring to the IE screenshot).

Also you have screwed up the with the module heading, (referring to the IE screenshot).

If you are referring to the filename at the top of the window of the MP3 playing in IE, for some reason, that appears to follow the setting in IE under View --> Text Size -->.  I have it set to Medium.  If I set it to Smaller, the text size appears as it should.  This only happens with the Live 2 template.  The text size doesn't change in your template when you change this setting.  I didn't change any of your files or coding, only the Live 2 coding, so I don't know why this is happening.  It doesn't happen with your template.  It started happening this way as soon as I implemented the RAWR-PreviewBox in the Live 2 template with the first cut and paste.

I believe the CSS files from the Live 2 template and the TOG template have some properties that are overlapping and are contributing to the cause of many of these types of problems.  For example, in the breadcrumb, with the Live 2 template only, the word Address should be the only thing in Bold, however, when I implemented the RAWR-PreviewBox in Live 2, the whole breadcrumb is now Bold

Anyway, no matter how you look at it, there are still problems in the Live 2 code, but I still think that Firefox 2 has issues of its own that are contributing to the problem.

I have noticed that the Visits counters are not increasing on my server.

A friend of mine accessed the server, and got a file but the counter stayed at zero, when I went to the server (using localhost, because I am behind a router). I expected the counter for that file to have increased by one.

I haven't used my server in a while so perhaps my brain is frazzled :-\

I am using HFS Server (latest version), with HFS Live2 Local (latest blue version).
Which of course rocks.

Thanks, and Happy New Year to all forum members.

I have a question here.

I'm using HFS live 2 to share images in my ethernet.
I noticed that when I'm browsing images in the terminals, all the pictures are fully loaded to the memory and because there are usually hundreds of images in my dirs, the explorer get stuck for minutes and takes up hundreds of MBs of memory. So i'm wondering if there's any way of making the explorer to load thumbnails or preview pics instead of loading the whole image.

I've made searches in the forum and didn't get enough info, hope someone can help me out of this.
forgive my poor language, ti hope i've made my idea clear, hanks in advance!

PS: this is really a beautiful template, i love it!

bold thingie has to be added, default is ";" instead of ";song=" (dunno why). it works perfect now.

Hey guys and gals! I have a problem with the "hfslive" local install. I put the "hfslive" in the root folder, which I believe is the folder that "hfs.exe" is in. So I copy it over, and then I click refresh and the default template is still there. So is the location of "root" different then what I think it is> I don't know what to do but I will give you some information.

I am running HFS 2.2d Build #152
I am running Windows XP Pro
I downloaded "Live 2 Local 2205.zip" from the download site.
I will include a screenshot of everything below:

by root, they mean you should add the hfslive folder to the root of the virtual file system in hfs. That just enables hfs to serve the required images and other files for the template over http.

To set hfs to use hfs live you must go menu > edit html template.

in the template editor there is an import button, import the .tpl file that was downloaded along with the hfslive folder(its possibly in the folder) and then click apply.

it should be working fine now.

Edit: just had a look at what you downloaded, you will also have to download live 2.2 to get the .tpl file you need for live 2 local.

I'm working on getting the black template to work on local. But for now, I do have the blue version, working **ALL** on local. There is no sever selection screen. It just loads.  Tell me if u need help or some bug is in it. Thanks

Can you go through how you setup HFS locally??  I've been trying but don't really understand how to add to root issue.

Thanks

add to root means adding the folder that contains all the template images, etc. to the root of the virtual file system in hfs.

hey guys,
just downloaded it 2 hours ago and wow. nice.
one thing that bugged me was that "undefined" error in streamer.
but i got it figured, so.. that`s why i am posting this.
on line 212, you should have the text:

<script language="javascript">stream_encode();livestream= using_server+"streamer/livestream.html?skin="+livestream_skin+";d="+showdownload+";song=";</script>

bold thingie has to be added, default is ";" instead of ";song=" (dunno why). it works perfect now.
cheers.

Thankyou the problem is fixed completly

Line 212 is what needs to be edited to this line

<script language="javascript">stream_encode();livestream= using_server+"streamer/livestream.html?skin="+livestream_skin+";d="+showdownload+";song=";</script>

just copy and paste over the old line and it should work. And it does thankyou so much! Now in school to listen to :D thxs a billion!

I have an upload folder but the icon you made for uploading is way in the top corner and it's tiny! ya beautiful gui and style but hard for other people wanting to make uploads onto a server. People like to feel like it's simple and easy to use but the en_2009 version is somewhat difficult to use. I was wondering if there is going to be a possible update maybe? I like how you incorperated google and that suff in the logo but how are people to know it's there unless you put your cursor over it? also java errors with [Please Wait a Moment]

Suggestions:

1: Lable under buttons so you know what it's for
2: Bigger icon options for those who find it hard to see

Other then that Awesome just giving some feedback that I got from alot of people!

How to use this without another servers using only my files?

"Change server" have only 2 servers (1&2). My friends cann't connect to this serves and see rejetto.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=4401.0;attach=1422]this[/url] (no pictures)
Same here. And the Local versions for both Black/Blue don't work. Any workarounds?

im concerned that some of the images say that they have been deleted from photo bucket. i mean this is an amazing template, but the photos not being ther makes it look bad.

Don't depend to much on that template or the images it once used.  As it says in the title of this topic - "Project Suspended".  The author of that template quit updating it some time ago or answer questions about it in this thread.
