Is there a way to make it so that by default, all of the files in a folder all display and the scrollbar appears so that I don't always have to press the 'no pages' button at the top? There didn't appear to be an obvious setting.

it's a template feature, and currently template cannot put options on the menu.

best way is:
right click on the root/home >> properties >> diff template >> put this text

[+special:strings]
option.paged=0
