Why &RQ is not an open-source project ?
If &RQ become an open-source project ,the development will be much faster.

I still think that &RQ is the Best ICQ Client.
But there are some features that &RQ does not support.

P.S.
I do not think that people who use &RQ can wait so long for version 1.0.

Thanx.
NN.

as you can see, i'm releasing all my works under GPL, therefore i believe opensource is good, for technology at least.
when i started working on &RQ, i was not into opensource yet, and had no experience with large projects.
the way it has been written was not good for co-working.
again, it is embarrassing for me to publish such a bad written source.
even though, i will soon, because so many people needs it.
i will include a note like "please, don't judge on this, it is not the way i use to write, etc etc", because it would take too long to rewrite it.

2rejetto :
You say that the source is not so good. It does not matter , people will rewrite it very fast  Wink
The popularity of &RQ will increase if you post about it on sourceforge.net.

Thanx.

yesterday i added the GPL header to all files (the boring job).
this mean that sources will be relesed very soon. it may take 1 week.

It means that finally we get to see if all the people screaming for open source has something to contribute or are just interested in getting the code for their own agendas.

isn't it very slow already?
folks, a good IM software that wants to be compatible with ICQ needs a huge amount of work, that is a huge amount of time.
i don't have a huge amount of time, therefore &RQ needs more.
i have a long to-do list, and a longer bug2fix-list.

the zipfile is ready
tomorrow i will upload it
