Hi,
firstly GREAT site and software.
Bad thing is I cant get it to work for me yet.

I want to use it to host files for family in another country so when I am online I give them the link and they can get the thing simple and easy.
I have had a few testers from various forums and they all cant get to it...they say page can not be displayed shows up.

Now when I do it, sometimes it appears and sometimes it does not.

the url for it is

http://81.100.129.74:4694/

I have no routers or anything like that.
I have a firewall [Zone alarm] but its on the low setting to test this.
I dont have the XP forewall on either, any advice would be great.

Hi!

Can u view the page from local host?

If yes then i think the problem will be the firewall.
Try to disable is FULLY for a short time.

The program IS the server .
- Make sure it is "ON" (left-top, F4)
- do F9 on it (browse)

well I tried it this time abit diff'.
I used http://81.100.129.74/ on port 80 this time.
Anyway without the firewall on and pressing F9 It worked and shown up in my Internet browser....however when I enabled the forewall it did not work.
So what could the firewall be blocking??

i don't know how to configure zone alarm
i use Outpost firewall, and i just said it to fully trust HFS
however, care about difference between incoming and outgoing connections: HFS is a server and needs incoming connections

I tried zone alarm for a time but i couldn't set it to
let incoming connections.

I think Outpost is the best.
