Rejetto,

Please, tell me what kind of compression used on this phorum? I think then your Transfer-encodig: deflate in Apache config or being used php zlib. Isn't it?

i did not program this forum, but it could be the one compressing
also apache could be the one, but i'm not the sysadmin on this host

you should first use a sniffer and ensure the data is compressed.
if it is not compressed, you'll see some plain html (with other binary data, the images)

you should also investigate if apache or phpbb2 has compression feature.

this is what i would do if the problem was mine, but you can do it as well Wink

I don't need sniffer because i have some experiece when reads phorums on this engine. Configuration of this site is optimal for decreasing traffic, that is why i'm interested for fine tunings. Can you specify from server sysadmin two things:
- what kind of compression turned on (qzip or deflate) on apache?
- is php compiled with zlib option?
