Hi all. Newbie here.
Could someone please give me the exact url format for someone to be able to access my HFS server? I'm confused as to why it can't be accessed using my public IP address.
I am on a cable modem hooked up to a Netgear RS614 router. I am running Windows XP home edition. Are there any adjustments to the Internet Options for IE6 I have to make?
Of course the router IP is 192.168.0.1 which is true for all routers I think. So how do I get thru from my public IP to my router IP and then into my computer so my friends can download my files from my download folder I have setup in HFS? I've updated the file to HFS 2.0 alpha14. And how do I enable the upload feature?
Thanks for any help and support! Cheesy  Cheesy

You will need to forward the port that HFS is using to the computer it is on in the router.  This explained in the FAQs page

Thanks all.
I just wanted to make sure the format was correct:
http://my public ip:my port #/folder name/items inside. Right?
Thanks,
Bill
