maybe im a complete idiot...but i've been working on this for 3 days now...i still cant get it to work.  to start..im behind a linksys wrt54g router with the newest firmware (linksys tech supports idea) i've configured my port 80 on the router.  every time i give my username and password, or have a friend try...HFS sees the "ping" and then it freezes.  i've tried everything i know to do and its driving me insane! please help

HFS doesn't reply to pings!

I would suggest you delete your HFS and download the newest version and start all over again. That is what I would do.
