Users adding descriptions?

I like that me running the server, from within HFS can add file-descriptions.

But would it in any way be possible for a user (person visiting my site) to add a comment to one of the files on the server (via his browser) ?


Im asking because it would be really handy if users uploading files, could put a description on those, since it would make it easier for other visiters to identify the files more easily that way.

ATM the best way to do it, for the user, is to
1. create a filename.comment file using notepad
2. write the comment inside the file
3. upload the comment file
