Hello!

In linux, where is 2 sorts of icq-clients that supports icqv7, one in consolemode, and one in Xwindows, Licq, Licq sux .. =)
Wine were able to run &rq 0.8.0.2, it worked fine, just a little slow, but it was better than Licq, but the new versons of &rq (0.9.2.0) uses crypt32.dll, wine cant support that and results in a error ....

I would really like to see &rq in linux, ported, and identical, would this be possible?
if you dont want to release &rq as opensource, why not letting a small group of ppl try to port it to linux?

i don't know what function i call in that dll, cause Delphi does it for me
if you can find from which exact version &RQ needs that DLL i can guess the function, and think about eventually removing it.

you could also write to the wine group to try supporting that DLL

it is almost possible, but the effort is big

i don't know of anyone interested in making the porting
i know only of people interested in using wine+&RQ
about opening sources there is a FAQ

it seams that it is 0.9.X.X (I just tried 0911) that uses crypt32.dll, 0849 works, I'll try to find 0901 or something like that..

errr, 0909 didn't work fine .. it exited after I added a new uin, and (but it saved to config-file) and after i started again, almost every icon were black..

trying 0908 now ..

0908 started fine, but icons does not work.. (some work, support and view my info, could just be a problem with paths or something like that)

0908 also has bitmapproblem,
something about

fixme:ole:CoCreateInstance no classfactory created for CLSID {4657278a-411b-11d2-839a-00c04fd918d0}, hres is 0x80040154
fixme:bitblt:X11DRV_BitBlt potential optimization - client-side DIB copy

dont know what that  is..

same for 0904, 0905, 0906, 0907
0903 works with bitmap, can connect, and send messages, some small bugs..

I can run 0.9.3.1 without any problem that using Wine CVS.
It just some drawing problem. I havn't fully tested 931 under
WINE.

For me, I like to recommand to use 0.849. I can read Chinese ICQ Msg
w/o any problem.
