Cant download files

I have 10 folders (with subfolders), each one with user and pass, i can login, view the files but cant download them, the "download" dialog appears, but when I pres Open or Download it close and nothing happends, any idea of what can be the problem?

edit: One user can download files, but i have 2 that cant, they have an error like "cant be downloaded" (is my translation to english from spanish). Any idea what can be happening here?

I too have this happen, but only with one specific pdf file. I'm using IE ver 6.
All other pdf's download correctly.
When I use Opera this file downloads correctly. I've recreated the pdf but
it didn't help. I have yet to figure out whats different about this one file ?

im now testing it with a XLS (XLS and DOC are the files i'll have here) if i place a TXT they can open it... :S
edit: with opera I can see that it downloads a little and then stop downloading, that is the same problem im havion in IE6

i'd say this is a browser problem

Sorry it was a server problem, in W98 it wont work, now in 2k server works perfectly with any browser
