i think it's a good idea, as optional
orelse: receiving automsgs could be a new event, and popup window could be a new action to trigger, this would give you maximum flexibility with usual way of doing things on &RQ

the action trigger seems good, pretty much what I requested

as for the autocheck automsgs:

when someone changes status an automsg check could me made automatically and the automsg would come in the chat window
but maybe I'm not that interested in all automsgs... maybe we could set this per contact or perhaps per contact group

In case your todo-list is running short I have an addition you could make:

What about placing automsgs in chat window instead of a popup window?
Or, as always, as an option.

Also, maybe an option to autocheck automsgs, specified per contact or all/no contacts.
