Your latest test buld (220) sets all kinds of alarms off in my virus checker that blocks the download.
Please check your development system for infections.

We should not go so fast.  Smiley

It would be nice to say more about your antivirus... and alerts displayed.

Where have you downloaded your version of HFS?

The false positive arrive often.
In this case it is best to notify the publisher of your antivirus.

Your antivirus may issue an alert because HFS is a server, and it tries to connect to the net ... nothing to do with a virus.

Otherwise, the "220" is safe (tested at the moment with avira anti-virus, kaspersky online... no warnings ).

The "development system" Roll Eyes is the shelter of all suspicion.

And I'm sure rejetto is very vigilant about this.

yes, we know some antiviruses display alerts by saying in a very cryptic way that HFS is a server (something too geeky for the common user according to security companies).
What they don't know is that they make people think that it's a virus instead of a server. Or they do know, but being scaremongers is part of their business.

Anyway, when in doubt, you can try www.virustotal.com for online scanning.

i'm sure there are good ideas there. To load it is a snap, but to find those ideas takes more time. i hardly find the time to write some code, it's better if you save me some time by suggesting me what to do, and when words are not enough, point me out to the same thing as you have already done in the french build. so far no bugs noticed on my end... and I have a brand new system upgrade.. with yet another custom hardware configuration..

I can tell you however that comodo internet security says build #220 is safe.... in fact they have a file submission tool and I submitted hfs.exe for analysis... the software now recognizes even updated copies... and the way this works.. if there is the slightest "dangerous" change.. it will lock my system down.

and other than telling me that a "server" program (hfs.exe) wants to connect.. or to update the firewall rule... CIS doesn't set off any alarms with HFS

Works well here, cant find anymore bugs personally. Also I'm now using ESET Smart Security using Policy Based Filtering and an exception for HFS, and it works perfectly, never detects as a virus and I get a nifty notification when I update HFS builds saying that my hfs.exe has been modified should I allow it to run.

I like the new properties menu (its new to me), but how come 'Flag as new' is in the context but not in the Flags tab in the properties window? And I assume the 'Set user/pass' is just there for quick access as well?

Also I have to notify you of these, first of all the option 'Switch to virtual-folder' I think it would be better worded as 'Change to virtual-folder and Change to real-folder' And for some reason when I'm in a hurry I confuse 'Edit resource...' with 'Properties...' I haven't decided on a solution for this...  maybe a re-wording or.. have Properties... in bold with the added separation of another divider if needed.  Also 'Properties...' is generally at the bottom of the context in most interface situations, I would look for it down there before at the top (right-click a folder in windows etc). Aaand when you receive the pop-up for a real folder being converted to a virtual folder, the English is not that clear... I cannot get the pop-up to appear again to re-read it Tongue something about 'putted too many files'.. anyway im going to bed, eyes are blurry I cant read my own writing.

Anyone knows where those came from? Rejetto? Cheesy In case anyone wondering if there's any third part program that might be causing this, I was using KIS 2009. Shouldn't be from that though.

ESET Smart Security = ESET NOD32 Anti-Virus + Firewall Cheesy

I haven't got that exception nukie, maybe something to do with HFS-Service.exe?

I can answer this easily..... the problem has to do with that series of AMD CPU. the same errors manifested "at least once" for me on my old CPU which is a 1700+... I have since installed an AMD X2 64 (Phenom) and there have been no more errors of that type.... at least not for me.

[btw... HI TSG!!!! nice to see you are still among us  Grin]
