Anyone having trouble with new accounts added in 237 not working?
It seems I can go back to 235 and they will work when added.

they work fine for me using terayon 1.3.2 as well as password protected folders... but I think its due more to how the template is coded. Eagle and TSG do a good job with coding.

Huh? Whether a newly added user name and password works or not doesn't have anything to do with the
template. Especially when I can go back a few builds and they do work.
Edit
But perhaps I should add, its a login problem.

Not here.  New accounts added working just fine here in build 237.

OK, Thanks Maverick. I'll start re-testing, to see if I can find my problem.

phatty recently reported a similar problem.
so it may happen only in some circumstances.
i'm interested in knowing if such problem is real and must be fixed on my side.
let me know if it persists.
eventually, try "temporarily reset options".
if you confirm the problem, i may also study differences between 235 and 237 to find clues.

I have only had this happen once... but that was many versions ago... and all I did was wipe the hfs.ini file and start over.. the previous copy was also a beta build... it corrected the problem

Work has been demanding, so I've had little time, but build 235 didn't really solve.
Neither did deleting .ini. I haven't found a way to reproduce the problem reliably.
For now, if a new user's log in fails, I just delete and and add them again.
Could be a conflict between HFS and another app.
I'll make some drastic system changes and retest, if work ever lets up a bit.

things are getting worse.
strangest thing is that when phatty gave me INI+VFS, and was not able to reproduce the problem.

mmm, what if you just restart HFS?
and could you send me your INI+VFS while not working? maybe your case is slightly different

can't imagine such case...

It seems that the new accounts problem related above is gone.
In my frustration I made several changes at once, to vfs, menu, template
and reformated the "C" drive on the server computer.
Unfortunately, now I have no way to know what did the trick.
I can say that all features that I use in 237 are working as expected now.

Reading the forum posts it seems there have been a few unususal
and maybe difficult to reproduce anomalies lately. Maybe a "ghost"
in the system?  Smiley
