i don't have the game you say, so i don't know the requirements.
is it a web game? HFS is for web.
Why do you think diablo1 would need HFS ?

It has online play but, I would like to host it from my server.
I will list the requirements here.
Hopefully you can tell me if I can do it.
I want to play multiplayer on my site.

System requirements
Windows
Windows 95 or better, 60 MHz Pentium or better, 8 MB RAM (16 MB for multiplayer), SVGA-compatible graphics card, 2X CD-ROM drive
Mac OS
Power Macintosh or compatible, 8 MB RAM with virtual memory, System 7.5 or higher, 2X CD-ROM drive

HFS is a webserver.
As you can see in the list, it requires only a computer, but not a web server.
Thus HFS is not required to run that game.
