Hi,

I've used HFS with no problem until today when I tried to fire it up and nothing happened, as in I clicked the shortcut and absolutely nothing happened. No process running in task manager. I downloaded the latest version to try. Still not working. Anybody knows what's going on?

TIA,
b.

maybe there's something wrong with your settings.
if you hold SHIFT while starting HFS, all settings are skipped.
but this may cause you to lose your settings forever, because HFS will overwrite them when you next quit.
to avoid this problem you can terminate the process instead of quitting, or you can backup your settings before (it's easy if you decided to save to to file, they would be in an HFS.INI file)

Hi rejetto,

I tried your suggestion, but it still did not execute  Cry No hfs.exe shown running in Windows Task Manager. I tried putting the program on different drives, still no luck.

1. what's your Windows version?
2. see if it appears at least shortly in the task manager

I'm using Windows XP MCE service pack 3. And as far as I could tell, other than the cursor turning into hourglass briefly after double-clicking the exe file, it didn't show up in the task manager.

sorry, i don't know what may be causing it.
try creating a new user on your Windows, and see if it solves.
