Im stumped here. I opened a port from my router by following the steps on portforward.com and made a static ip address for my computer but yet still cant access the file server. I have tried different ports to no avail. I can access the files from other computers from within my network using the static ip I set the server computer up with, its just outside the network im not having any success. Any ideas?

Ok so I noticed when someone tries to access the files HFS states that the status is "idle 0" in the box that shows info about current connections. It then says "connection established, waiting for welcome message" on the web page browser. After awhile connection timed out. Any ideas why?

After searching I found nothing that helped me. Maybe im not searching with the right keywords? Are there any specific posts I should look at? I know these forums probobly get the same question asked a million times but I couldn't find anything with my problem. Thanks.
