Media Server - VLC Edition - Supported browsers: Internet Explorer 7 or above,
Firefox 3.0 or above, Chrome, Opera & Safari.

 

1) You must have VLC Media Player, DivX Plus Web Player and Flash Player installed.

Download latest VLC Media Player from here: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/1.1.4/win32/vlc-1.1.4-win32.exe

Download DivX Plus Web Player For Windows(Latest stabel version): http://download.divx.com/player/DivXWebPlayerInstaller.exe

OR download DivX Plus Web Player For Windows v2.1 Beta (adds DXVA support, mp4 playback): http://labs.divx.com/files/DivXPlusWebPlayerBetaInstaller-2.1.0.529.18.exe

2) Once Downloaded Open vlc-1.1.4-win32.exe

3) If VLC is already installed you will get a message below - Press Yes

Press Yes if you receive this warning.

4) For type of install select "Full" Install. (Unless you know what you're doing).

Select Full Install

5) After finishing Installing VLC - Open DivXWebPlayerInstaller.exe and complete the install.

6) Close any browser windows you have open, then re-open your favorite browser and browse to the website.

7) When using Internet Explorer, you may get a message in yellow below "This Website wants to run the following add-on 'VLC media player (Activex Plugin)....."

8) Click on this message select "Run Add-on on All Websites" or "Run Addon"

9) When you get "Do you want to run this ActiveX control?" Select "RUN"

The steps above only need to be done once!

10) Browse to the Movie you want to view, click on one of the icons of the available players for it (right of the filename), and after couple of seconds the movie should start streaming in the player. (Could take up to 15 seconds to start)
