Hello

sorry for my english but I'm french   :D

my problem will be long to explain  :D

1°) I'm using linux, so to launch HFS i use Wine and i have these errors :

Code: [Select]
err:font:ReadFontDir Can't open directory "/home/remi/.wine/dosdevices/c:/windows/Fonts"
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc EM_EXLIMITTEXT: stub
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc WM_STYLECHANGING: stub
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc WM_STYLECHANGED: stub
err:font:ReadFontDir Can't open directory "/home/remi/.wine/dosdevices/c:/windows/Fonts"
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc EM_EXLIMITTEXT: stub
fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 4118 (SPI_GETTOOLTIPANIMATION)
fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 4120 (SPI_GETTOOLTIPFADE)
fixme:win:AnimateWindow partial stub

I think this is only graphical errors; the window of HFS appears and I can use it (switch on/off the server, change the port, add files, find the external Ip, do "self test" etc....)

2°) I have a freebox router, I have opened the ports 80 and 1080 (tcp and udp for these 2 ports) and redirected them to my local IP on my port 80 or 1080
I change the local IP (127.0.0.1) to my external IP 82.xxxxxxxxx

3°) I try a "Self Test", result :
The test filed : server does not answer
you are behind a router
Ensure it is configured to forward port 80 to your computer

(but the router is confgured)

4°) I have a firewall installed (Firestarter), and it blocks the attacks who came from the port 80 opened on the freebox, so it can block connexions during the "Self test", so the problem of router could be a problem of firewall

5°) The real problem is that I have tried to use HFS with a friend
_ I can download a file from his HFS
_ I have made a rule on Firestarter to allow connexions from his IP only, so he would be able to get files from my computer ; when we do tests, the transfer begin but it stops after 9ko
_ With my web browser i connect to a folder on his HFS, and i click on "upload a file", and the upload is ok

So, if you could help me because I have tested many things to try to solve this problem but I have never found  ???

and I have a question : when the transfer starts, I can see in the right windows of HFS something similar as "get starting upload at 82.xxxxxxx : 2782". 2782 is the port of the transfer ? but I have configured HFS for the port 80  ???

have a nice week end
@++++++

that port is "the other side" port, it's normal.

anyway, before worrying about that problem, try to locally (localhost) browse your HFS.
if it doesn't work, you shouldn't go no further.

try asking to the wine group.

a lot of people ask about HFS under wine, here, but noone asked the wine team to support HFS. you will never get it working until you do it.

i'm unsure an email is the right way to communicate such things.
they have a bug reporting system at http://bugs.winehq.org/
