When logging-on to a password-protected resource, your browser prompts for the username and password. In this dialog, it describes what you are actually accessing. This description is called a realm.

You can customize the HFS realms by using the VFS Menu. Use Customized realm to define the realm for this folder and all subfolders.

If you don't define a realm, but you did specify a comment for the item, the Use comment as realm option makes the comment be used as the realm.

Your browser also prompts for a password when you click the Login link. You can customize the realm to satisfy this request by Menu→ Other options→ Login realm.
